Donna’s nursing career started following graduation from the University of Kentucky in 1976. She received her certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Brigham Young University in 1985 and then her Master’s Degree in Nursing in 1989. In 1999, Donna returned to the University of Tennessee for a Post-Graduate Certificate in Forensic Nursing.
Intensive Care and Emergency nursing have been the foundation of Donna’s nursing career. She also taught ICU / Emergency Nursing and Pathophysiology for 25 years before retiring from academia. Donna continued to work as a Nurse Practitioner during her years in education. She has clinical experience in Family Practice, Urgent Care and Forensic Nursing.
